A part of living Holistically Fit is being conscious of not only the foods we put in our mouths, but also the products we put on our bodies. Since our skin is our largest organ and absorbs everything we slather on it, we need to be aware of all of the chemicals that go into our blood stream through just our beauty products alone! For this reason, I have spent several years perfecting DIY whole foods beauty treatments that come straight from my kitchen and I have found that some of them actually work even better than a $100 facial at the spa! I use these the night before an event or photo shoot and my skin always looks so much more radiant. This face mask I am sharing with you today is so simple and leaves your skin soft and radiant while treating current or future breakouts. I also love how it uses pumpkin as it’s base since it’s fall and everything pumpkin is welcomed right now. Think of it more as skin nutrition… : ) Ingredients:
Directions: Mix together with a spoon. Clean face and pat dry, leaving your skin a little moist. Slather on the mask, working in circular motions to massage it into your skin. Apply all over, including your neck and decollete. Relax and let it dry for about 30 minutes. Be careful not to smile, or laugh while it drying… trust me, from experience it really hurts.
Pumpkin- Rich in Vitamin A, which soothes and softens skin. It can help remove old surface skin cells with specific enzymes and help promote new cell production. Pumpkin can also help fight inflammation, reduce pore size and and help control excess oil. Chlorella- Known for “nature’s perfect food”… why not put it on your skin!?
